Foot Care
When you consider how much we rely on our feet, it makes sense to give them the extra care and attention they deserve. At National, we offer a wide range of products designed to provide relief for a variety of conditions – making every step as comfortable as possible.
Make every step count
When your feet are in poor shape, every step feels like a forced march. Fortunately, there are a variety of products designed to ease discomfort – or eliminate it completely. Well-made orthopedic footwear can go a long way toward improving foot health, providing a good fit with room for air circulation – and without chafing. Cushioned bandages, hallux pads and toe separators bring a measure of relief to conditions ranging from bunions and extosis to corns. When used regularly, cleaning products, including brushes, gentle soaps and lotions can improve problem conditions – or stop them before they start.
Putting your best foot forward
When your feet aren’t in good shape, every step feels like a forced march. To make sure your feet are ready for whatever – or wherever – you’re going, consider these tips:
- Choose appropriate footwear – all too often, style comes at a cost. Make sure your shoes look like your feet – and that they fit comfortably, without pinching or chafing.
- Check your shoe size – foot size can change over time. Be sure you’re selecting shoes that fit, and because one foot is usually larger than the other, be sure you buy for the larger foot.
- Protect and prevent irritation – avoid the discomfort of ulcers and infection. Try cushioned bandages, or hallux pads for comfort and relief.
- Clean and dry your feet daily – inspect your feet every day, and keep them clean and dry.
