Love these pants! Last fall, I recall hoping that some retailer, somewhere, would offer all cotton pants with a stretch waist - seriously! I was thinking of writing to National because they do listen to their customers - so imagine how pleased and surprised I was to see these and the crops online and in the catalog. These are what I was imagining, and somebody from National was reading my mind!

Specifically: the pants fit well without the addition of spandex or lycra. The waist fits mine (I have a straight shape, not a small waist, and the hips do too. The elastic isn't too tight, not too loose, so I don't feel like they're falling down. The fabric does wrinkle some, which is okay by me (I've had enough of treated fabric). I have my office here at home, so I work in casual comfort and wrinkles don't bother me, in fact, I welcome them, because usually it means the garment is all cotton.

I love all cotton because it does indeed breathe, where poly-cotton or stretch cotton don't and are hotter to wear, sometimes too hot. And this cotton is soft soft soft - the hang-tag on the pants and crops specify that the garment has been GARMENT WASHED, which, for me, just makes this an even better pair of pants all the way around.

Fit, feel, perfect for my casual lifestyle, excellent price - these are simply great pants for me -- and I think other cotton lovers will feel the same way.

Note: I did order one size larger because I thought the pants might shrink, being all cotton. They shrunk minimally, mostly in length, which was generous, so the shrinkage was welcome there. In the future I will be ordering many more of these pants and the cropped version because this kind of all cotton pant is hard to find -- and I think I'll still order one size larger, because I like things to fit me comfortably.

I'm a white tee shirt and khakis kind of girl, all grown up, and now I find I only have to come to one place, NATIONAL, for all my clothing. Thank you National, and keep these great clothing items coming!

The pants fit well around the waist, but not too well in the front. There is a baggy feel to the front; they don't lie flat. The material is much thinner than what I expected. Good for casual wear, which is what I wanted. I don't think I'd wear them for dressing up or for business.
