I just love the ruffled cowl neckline! The color is a pretty red. It's a nice weight; not too warm or cold. I like that it's made of cotton. Feminine looking without exaggeration. Nice with either slacks or a skirt. I am retired, and live in a remote area so we don't "dress up" much here. This sweater is classic with just a touch of "extra", the ruffles. I don't think it would lend itself well to layering, unless it was with a nice vest. This sweater will serve me well.
