Third time the charm - size discrepancy

I originally ordered a 3X and it was HUGE. So, I reordered a 2X. It was just as big and when I compared it to the 3X they were exactly the same size. I can only guess the wrong size tag was sewed in. So I tried again and ordered another 2X. This time it fit fine. I wish you could get a better handle on sizing. Sometimes a 2X fits fine and the next time its too small and I need a 3X. I love shopping w/you but the sizing problem is frustrating. Reordering and returning items is a big hassle.

I own this dress in a size I used to wear. Now that I've lost weight, I am buying it in a smaller size. That's how much I like the dress. I like classic styling, and while this dress is casual, it's also classic. I wear it grocery shopping, dog walking and casual entertaining - it works for all but dressy occasions. I ordered this for my mother to wear as a lounge dress around the house. She lives in Chander, AZ, so the lightweight fabric and chambray color is cool and comfortable. Unfortunately, this dress is at least one size too large. I had to return the dress as it did not fit. I would suggest ordering at least one size down for this particular dress.
