I bought these pants for my mother who is in an assisted living environment. Being elderly, she is always cold, even though the building is usually very warm. I wanted something with an elastic waist that fit well. I guessed at a size and they fit beautifully. They are a medium weight corduroy and are warmer than her other slacks. They are not stiff or scratchy and did not shrink after washing.
