Halloween – a family tradition
As promised, Halloween 2021! This year was extra special. For the first time in nearly two years, our family was able to set aside time and safely be together for a quick getaway. We celebrated Halloween on the North Carolina coast. If you know anything about my family, we go all out for this holiday. From the time I was little, my parents planned a full family costume and spent time face painting, consignment hunting and candy prepping for Halloween. It was a family event!
This year, those same traditions held as our collective five children spent their first Halloween with extended family. So, what was the Wilson theme this year? Of course, Hatton got to choose and absolutely went for Paw Patrol!
Skye, Rocky, Chase, Marshall and Everest enjoyed a great Halloween by the beach and a second one in our neighborhood in Wilmington (lucky kiddos!) This holiday will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am so thankful we can still force family costumes….for now.
Happy fall my friends! Cheers to tradition.
