My 5 Kind Reminders to Myself List

No matter how hectic my life is I try to focus on my family, and work, so much I often lose sight of myself. So, I’ve written a simple list of 5 things that help me to take care of myself so I can better take care of those that depend on me most. This simple list is all about allowing myself positive affirmation. I don’t know about you, but I can never get enough positivity.

  1. You are loved - a simple reminder to myself that I am enough and that I am worth the love I receive.
  2. Your smile lifts hearts - mom used to say, my smile could change the mood in a room. And that gave me a feeling of having a special power over those around me. And besides, smiles are like laughs, they’re contagious. 
  3. Laugh at everything, and anything - they say it will help you live longer and feel better. Who can argue this?
  4. Share your joy - when you feel it, share it! If there’s one thing the world needs more of: it’s JOY!
  5. Play like a kid - a reminder to myself that I need to take the time to get outside, and with childlike abandonment, enjoy the great outdoors. Now, getting outside to play is different for everyone. Some will hit the park trail, while others may play golf or pickleball. But no matter who you are, or what your idea of play is, be sure to dress appropriately while doing it. Whatever “it” is.
