Thanksgiving Traditions Old and New
We arrived in Lexington on Friday afternoon to kickstart time with family and ultimately discovered a new holiday tradition - sugar cookies and tree lightings! Our sweet hometown hosts a tree lighting ceremony every year, and this year we attended with our three wild ones. While we typically spend all of Thanksgiving in Blowing Rock, it was wonderful to split up the drive and enjoy some hometown moments with my babies.
Of course, no trip to Lexington is complete without a Saturday morning in the kitchen. Hatton and her daddy worked very hard on “Christmas trees with rainbow sprinkles” and many other designs to share with family. (One of these is…apparently…an airplane. I love the creative imagination of kiddos!)
We even managed to grab a few photos of the kiddos in my parents’ backyard - the portrait of fall in the Carolinas. We’re now enjoying the crisp mountain air of Blowing Rock as we wait on additional family members to trickle in. This year especially, I am grateful for traditions - old and new - to share with my precious family.
All of us at National want to send our heartfelt gratitude to you - our extended family - for remaining a valued customer and friend. We hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family (and please share some traditions with us on our facebook page)!
With love,
Parker
